Sage Benefits for Hair

Three sage tips for today:

  
1. Sage tea can be used to darken your hair. Mix half a cup of dry sage leaves in two cups of water and steep for two hours. Then strain and pour over your hair. Leave sage tea on your hair for about forty minutes, then rinse with lukewarm (room temperature) water. Do it every day for a few weeks. This is an ideal natural way of covering gray hair. Sage can also be used for your skin treatment.

2. Sage oil helps your body to control oil secretion which reduces oily hair. Sage oil can be massaged directly into your scalp to increase blood flow to the hair follicles. This will encourage hair growth and minimize hair loss. It is also a natural gray hair reducer.

3. Mix one teaspoon of sage leaves and one teaspoon of rosemary leaves to one cup of boiling water for ten minutes, then strain. Put the cooled liquid in a spray bottle and apply every day directly on the scalp and hair where the gray appears.  Leave on for up to ten minutes, then shampoo and style as normal. It will take a few weeks to make your hair darker but will only take two applications per week to maintain the results in the future.
