The Benefits of Coffee
Caffeine has been claimed by scientists to fight male baldness. But it does not dye hair so efficiently.
Unlike commercial dyes, coffee won't dye gray hair immediately and may need to be repeated daily for a month.
Step 1
Brew about a gallon of strong, black coffee. Allow the coffee to cool.Step 2
Wash your hair as usual. Towel dry your hair by patting it with a soft towel.Step 3
Pour the cooled coffee into a plastic bowl or basin. Stir in two to three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar will act as a fixative.Step 4
Protect the floor and your working surface with old towels or newspapers, as the coffee may stain unprotected surfaces.Step 5
Lean over the bowl or basin and use a plastic cup to pour the coffee mixture slowly through your hair. Repeat at least 15 times. Massage the coffee through your hair to ensure that your hair is evenly covered from your scalp to the roots.Step 6
Wring the excess coffee from your hair, and then leave the coffee on your hair for 15 minutes. Don't wrap your hair in a towel during this time.Step 7
Rinse your hair with lukewarm water. Comb your hair and style as usual.Things you will need
- One gallon (3.8 liters) strong coffee
- Two to three tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- Soft towel
- Plastic bowl or basin
